Helpful Guard

This is a very basic brain for a guard, and is not much more kode than you get in a signpost. To make it seem more of a character add the following.

Make the guard less friendly when attacked.
Add this to page 1 and page 2. Player will not get the hint if they attack first.

Make the guard patrol up and down

Put two logic cubes down where you want your guard to walk between. Call them stop 1 and stop 2
Remove lines 1 and 2 and replace with

  1. WHEN [once] DO [boolvar:move to 1][equals][false]
  2. WHEN [boolvar:move to 1] DO [move][toward][IWP:stop 1][at speed][0.15]
  3. WHEN[not] [boolvar:move to 1] DO [move][toward][IWP:stop 2][at speed][0.15]
  4. WHEN [started to][distance to][IWP:stop 2][less than or equal to][1.5] DO [turn][toward][IWP:stop 1]
  5. …WHEN DO [boolvar:move to 1][equals][true]
  6. WHEN [started to][distance to][IWP:stop 1][less than or equal to][1.5] DO [turn][toward][IWP:stop 2]
  7. …WHEN DO [boolvar:move to 1][equals]false]

Guard will walk up and down until interacted. They will then turn to the player, deliver their message then return to walking up and down.
